Jim is a Chief Executive Addiction Recovery and Mental Health Professional with 27 years of experience in the field starting in 1995. He began his career as a Counselor in Training at Tully Hill Addiction Treatment in Upstate NY. Over the 17 years he spent in upstate New York he was the Admissions Director, supervised Utilization Review, IT, QA, Accounts Receivable, Billing, served as Chief Information Officer and Revenue Cycle Administrator and interfaced with Marketing.
After relocating to New Jersey in 2012, Jim formed Apogee System Consultants, his own Consulting Firm. He began working with numerous small to mid-sized Behavioral Health and Addiction Recovery Facilities, from start-ups to well established Treatment Centers. Ever since he has been offering support by:
- Providing job placement services
- Enhancing existing systems and providing research for new tools
- Creating true Revenue Cycle Solutions
- Improving internal workflows
- Implementing and integrating Electronic Health Records to include enhanced real time reporting
- Leading and assisting in organizational initiatives to promote Behavioral Health Crisis Care and assessment
All of which help generate profit centers while also creating dynamic cultures in order to turn around struggling businesses.
Jim has embedded himself and his team into Executive Level positions through Apogee System Consultants. He’s also worked for a number of Substance Abuse Facilities directly as CEO, CIO and CTO as well. Jim has also worked with established substance abuse facilities as an executive recruiter, due to his extensive knowledge of the field and his numerous contacts has helped find key talent for organizations that fit the culture, need and strategic improvement plans to help position the organizations growth. Jim believes in people, and continues to volunteer his time as an advisor, board member and interventionist, always striving to make a difference.
Jim currently serves as Board Chair for the ECHO Foundation, a Board Advisor for RAE Health since it’s founding and currently serves as Chief Clinical Officer, a team member of the St. James Church in Pennington, New Jersey called H.O.P.E. Ministry, as and advisor The F.A.R.M. Team and the executive director of Harmony Hollow Farm in Lambertville NJ.
